Have you ever not slept in 24hrs and...

...gone into Uni to attend 3 exams?

Well seems like that's what I'm upto today. Finished 2 papers yesterday and I just couldn't get to sleep - instead I was enjoying some vector calculus (fubini's theorem, double/tripple integration, partial divs etc etc for those of you that can do more than 1+1=2) from around 1am till 6am... It's 9am now and I'll I got a long day ahead, ending at around 6pm...

    Hope I can last...

Don't get me on to sleepiness again, I too am tired after having not much last night. But yeah, thats part of uni isn't it? Everyone's done an all nighter or 2 to finish off that coursework at one point or other!

Remember one stage at uni, we had to do this group presentation using Director and I had to do the voice overs! So there we were at 4 in the morning recording this voice over. We didn't have much time to proof listen but completed the presentation around 5-6. Grabbed an hour sleep and got up for the presentation the next day. So there we were, spanking looking piece of work, well chuffed we were! We were beaming when my voice over started. And it would have been perfect had we known that the microphone is very sensitive. So accompanying my voice, in the background you can hear my mate snoring his head off. You can imagine the laughter! We still got a 2:1 though!!!

    my worst weekend

started at 6 am, i got up for work, i was in at 8, and did a 12 hour shift till 8pm

i then went to a mates, who *somehow* convinced me to have a drink, a drink led to 2, we ended up in the pub, shortly after on the bus to a nightclub

well go at 12, dont worry mate, we reassured me, 3am i said i think we'd better leave

we didnt, we spent all our money on booze so we had to wait till 6am for the bus, so we waited, it came and took an hour, it was now 7am, remembering i work at 8am i thought cripes, better get the bus to work, so i did

i got into work an hour late, with no sleep at all in the last 24 hours, to do ANOTHER 12 hour shift

    yes, it killed me

Yep, in fact, actually, 2 days ago.

Was great fun :/ Couldn't sleep at all, was far too worried about exams and other work related stuff. Then, got up at about 7.30 from trying to sleep, went downstairs and had a panic attack... I was properly a shaking mess on the floor for about 5 minutes.

Don't really know how the exam went, wasn't really 'all there' for it...

Just finished the second exam, I'm still here...a little tired...as I have to wait 2hrs till the final exam..it's the waiting that kills me. When you're sleepy if you can't concentrate on something....them eyelids just go....shut ...

Didn't fall asleep in the exams tho, so a good sign...

I should be outtah here by around 5, 5:30pm and off to Safeways to stack up on some booze and then to go hit the sack

Seems like 'allnighters' are a common thing for us students...sleep deprivation to the max!

I remember doing that on the day of the deadline for my final year project at uni, went through the night, eventually finishing it at about 7:30am.. then I went to sleep for a couple of hours before I got up and headed in to get it printed/bound and handed in

Good old days/exams... was sleeping for about an hour in the morning (just to stretch my feet ) before the exam and all night was up studying a subject. Was sleeping after the exam though during the day
Have done few 36hours without sleep as well... imho, never again... pretty pointless when you start mooning your bed every now and then, at the end the bed looks ya weird with a glance telling you... COME TO MEEEE!!!!

    More bad days:

Just went to my Grandfather's house because I look after him on Saturdays, through til Sunday evenings. Found him lying on the floor, next to his bed, unable to move, naked, with a serious black eye. He's had an infectious cyst that he's only just told us about, the anti-biotics have made him really ill.

He tripped at 2 O'clock in the morning on his way to the toilet - he'd been lying there since. When my Aunt phoned him at 8am (like she always does every morning), he told her he was fine. Stubborn 86 year old S.O.A.B!

Anyhow, he's at the hospital doing alright - on a new drip of anti biotics, and he MAY be back at home tonight. My mother's with him, but I'm going back in later.

    [/moan]

-edit Someone give me a cigarette and a Cumberland Sausage buttie, doused in ketchup NOW.
