Geez, still annual income isn’t the only measure of wealth. Plus cost of living varies from country to country, i.e. £2000 a year here is relatively little, but in some places you’d be minted. I think we can now have a little glimmer of understanding of why thousands of people try to get into the UK each month to stake their claim on our social welfare systems and / or make a better life for themselves. We may not like it, but if you have little or nothing then it would seem like a dream come true wouldn't it?

Huge over simlification of global socio-political-economic conditions there, but still....

Personally, I'm far poorer this year than I was 4 years ago, but then that's my own dumb fault.
