Northern Goshawk are avian predators, they're birds of prey that feed primarily on other birds, chasing and catching them in flight - how, exactly, is a land bridge going to benefit them ...?It's not just moose that would benefit from the corridor. Canadian lynx, bobcat and northern goshawk could also use the land bridge between the country's maritime provinces

Looks like poor CBC reporting by someone who knows less than I do about the flora and fauna of that region.
The original piece by the NCC includes the following:
