    The ultimate pub trawl!

I'm planning a pub trawl for about ten days, and I want to know, whats the best pub/bar/club in your area? I need at least one in Scotland and one in Wales!

BTW pub trawl is like a road trip to visit as many pubs as possible... Like a crawl but nationwide... it's the funnest!

    Ah, fair enuff then

There's a place called The Full House in Hemel Hempstead. It's a pretty big bar, and they don't play any crappy music Can get some nice food there as well, at a decent price.

When you say "club" - what type are you after ?
A proper club, or a "club" that plays cheesy music, and you just go to get drunk ?

If you're going through Durham (which is unlikely I know) try the woodman, its on the outskirts of town and is an old man's pub. Large selection of high quality beverages at uber cheap prices, full size pool table, darts, jukebox, I think they serve food and it's also won a few "best pub awards". Good look on your quest

From when I was at Uni in Leeds (just graduated this year so things won’t have changed much), I’d recommend:
Mint club – a small but excellent club, Thursday’s Funky Worm Hole Night
Northern Lights – nice bar, good Friday nights
Bar Risa – nice bar, good Wednesday nights
Life Bar – wicked on the Monday student night, looks tiny, but actually has a kool big downstairs.

Hope none of the nights have changed this year, sorry if they have. There are loads of other good places too, BRB, The Townhouse, The Elbow Room ... too many.

Steer clear of Majestyks and Creation, the two biggest club, unless you want rough people, expensive drinks and poor music.

From near where I live now, Milton Keynes, well, ugh, oh how I miss Leeds, the new bar Revolution is very nice. Oceana is the biggest place in MK by miles, steer clear of it and Toad on Friday and Saturday nights, it’s expensive and rubbish. But on the Monday “student” night (there are no Universities in MK though) both Toad and Oceana are cheap and good. Oceana is no trainers on Monday (smart jeans allowed), although I wore them last time and because I was with fifteen other people and we would all go somewhere else if I couldn’t get in, they changed their mind. All these MK places are in the Ski Dome (Xscape) it’s huge and you can see it from miles around.

if you can get to Wolverhampton on a thursdat night, i highly reccomend the Varsity - £2 or so to get in, then £1 a drink, ANY drink have fun, n make sure your designated driver guy doesn't give in to temptation, it ain't worth it.

We've got a varsity in Durham, dunno if it's similar but the one in Durham's a s**thole. It's allways full of kiddies and under-age drinkers, music so loud you can't hear each other talk and the beer tastes watered down.

Was talking about Revolution in MK, which is brand spanking new and even nicer than the one in Leeds, but as Slick said the Revolution in Leeds is all good. Try the Chilli vodka, DON’T SIP, just down it, it’s lovely.

If you pass through Aberystwyth then head for the Cambrian for cocktails - try a deathstar.

Kanes is also good for cheap doubles, £1 on tuesdays.

Varsity is good the atmosphere is generally very good although the music can get too loud.

Inn on the Pier is a must, its sooo cool to drink over the water, and if you get there between 6 and 9 monday to thursday pizzas are buy on get one free.

Round the night off at Yokos, its small but really really chilled, and you can dance like a funky gibbon if you want.
