I've been complaining lately that the BBC isn't producing anything remotely worth my tax payer fees.
But this program is a solid 8/10 in anyones book. Sure the story line might be simplistic, somewhat cliche based on one or two twists but the direction is excellent, on the whole the cinematography is brilliant, some scenes were lack luster, but others were top. The sound track, is heart stopping, emotive, again, somewhat cliche, nothing really original but it's very solid.
Given the quality of the products lately, this is exactly what I want from the BBC, it's funny, it's what I've begun to expect form Netflix or HBO, but not the BBC. Very pleasantly surprised.
