HMRC Self Assessment Website : it gets better and better but a few things wind me up

I do like the Self Assessment website. The help and pop up sections are very useful

But I dislike this particular phrasing

Now what is "shortly become due" in time scale terms?

Well today is 15 August 2014, and the "shortly due" dates are........ 31st Jan 2015 and 31st July 2015

    Hardly what I'd call "shortly"

I remember from last year when I completed self assessment it put the wind up me for a few minutes until the page opened with the dates....

Wonder why such a great website, has those words so cruely stab you in the eyes?

I do not like the Self Assessment website. I consider myself to be good with numbers and websites, but I remember nothing but confusion last time I filed my tax return. Unless it has changed massively from last year, there's a vast amount of things they could do to improve it. Finding out how much I was supposed to pay and when was probably the most difficult thing to work out.
