It's useful posts you need, not spam, if you carry on spamming your post count is likely to reduce

I closed your post complaining about the FS post limit as all the answers are already on the forums.

Saracen sums it up nicely in the following post.

50 posts isn't that difficult to achieve - simply take part in the various forums for a while.

The tolerance to, and definition of, spam will vary slightly from forum to forum here. Question Time, for instance, is for proper debate and if I see 'spam' posts in there, I'll delete it on sight. In GD, however, there is a much more conversational style. Even so, anything that is overt spamming is likely to get deleted and anyone seen as spamming consistently risks getting their post count adjusted (downwards), or zeroed.

It is a feature of bulletin boards that some people will join them just to exploit them. An instance would be the type of person that joins a bulletin board to advertise their web hosting service, makes exactly ONE post, and is never seen again. Such posts are also deleted on sight by most boards, and as often as not, the users account banned. Bulletin boards are supposed to be about community, and that implies that members are expected to take part.

For Sale/Trade is a facility operated for the benefit of members, not simply for people to come along, advertise their spare kit and then vanish again. So it is necessary to operate some kind of cut-off point and inevitably it won't suit everybody.

We do our best to keep a relaxed attitude here, and not to get over-enthusiatic with the rules, but unfortunately, you can't please everybody all the time.
