Ok, 2 weeks ago i dropped my computer whilst moving into my halls rooms. DOH!
I claimed on my insurance and arranged for it ot be collected and assessed.
The courier comes and collects it and i hear nowt for a week, i ring the insurance company and am told they will ring me when it is ready, i ring them after another week passes and it has been ready for 3 days, so much for the phone call.
They have replaced the CPU on the unit and done something to the motherboard.
I arrange for it to be delivered to work and sure enough after 2 days it turns up, however there is a disturbing rattling coming from the box, I open it up and the case front is hanging off on one corner and smashed in 2 places, the drive bay plates have been driven ito the case body and the polysyrene packaging has been smashed and there is a nice big imprint of the PSU in the packing.
My rheobus has also been driven into the case although the heatsink is still attached.
I power it on and it seems to boot normally, i run pcmark to test it out and it switches itself off.
I reboot it gets to listing the ide devices and reboots itself, over and over.
I open up the case and have another look and i see on the edge of the board the drive bay plate has crushed a couple of capacitors
£200 of damage in total.
They have taken it back again now for repair again.
Secondly on the same day i get a phonecall from my mum, telling me that the lump removed from my sisters jawline 2 weeks ago is a malignant aggressive tumour my sis is 16 and will have to go for checkups and tests every month for the rest of her life.
Then that afternoon, i was not concentrating on the job in hand and hot glue gunned my hand to the desk 3 times.
so i feel crap today
