Had to laugh at this. Was in town getting some new shoes for work. Passing Matalan (where else) and a guy had just got into his Toyota Celica and fired it up with a throaty roar (as yer do). Not to be out done another throaty roar was heard from just in front of the front of the store. Unfortunately this wasn't from a modern professionally manufactured sports machine. Nope, you guessed it. A 10 year old Nova with dodgy lowered suspension and an equally dodgy after market big bore exhaust.
The Celica driver was p*ssing himself laughing at this chump, as were the assorted pedestrians. Celica then accelarates rapidly and leaves in dwindling aformentioned roar, Nova accelerates loudly and madly to about 20mph before dwindling at a much slower pace into the distance (eventually).
"You got 4 spark plugs for me Nova mate?"
"Yeah, seems like a fair swap"
