2004 has been an amazing year for HEXUS, with the growth and change which we have seen both as a site and a company. We are proud of what we deliver to you, our readers and we believe that we have done ourselves justice this year.
However, I wish everyone spends a moment to remember the meaning of Christmas, it isn’t the presents under the tree or stuffing your face with so much food you feel ill. It is more than all of this it is about celebrating the birth of baby Jesus; it is also a time for remembering what is important to us.
I also think it is a time to reflect and to spend with loved ones - whatever your situation or location. Remember there are those who don't have this chance.
We have seen 2004 bring many good and bad things – the war in Iraq, whether you agree with it or not, there has for certain been thousands of innocent victims, on both sides. Please take a moment to (even if you are upset with the poor show of presents) remember how lucky you actually are, and please spare a thought for the families missing people this year.
Also remember all of the good in the world, with the amazing performances which we saw at the Olympics with the focus and dedication of these athletes.
Looking over HEXUS this year, we have seen Paul join the team and help focus the company on achieving new targets and setting more goals, we have seen Steve join as our news editor allowing the rest of the editorial team to focus on reviews and guides. We have seen our forums grow from strength to strength.
I have personally had a lot of personal achievements of which I am very proud of.
So when you are sitting down about to eat your Christmas lunch, or after you have opened all of the presents from under the tree – take a moment to reflect and remember the reason for the celebrations and a second to consider all of those less fortunate than yourself.
I would like to wish you, and your families a very enjoyable and safe Christmas, from me and all at HEXUS
