My parents currently live in the wilderness of Banks, just north of that there Southport. It's a nice enough town, but I always feel like it only has one or two things to do. What do people do for fun there Stevie Lee? Apart from walk down the pier and peer at the sand?

    erm.............................................................

let me get back to you on that...

well now, you mean you've seen sand? its a boggy mud pit full of grass, has been ever since the sandworks closed. protected wetland reserve for the RSPB now I think.

    theres also ...

frankly I have no idea anymore what there is to do around here. a lot of stuffs closed, a lot of stuff is going to close. everyone just heads south to Liverpool, theres more stuff to do.

unless you like golf, theres a bunch of golf courses.

I even had to google 'why is southport called southport?', theres no port here. theres maybe still an underground River Nile (just a small trickly brook) it used to run near Southbank road and Eastbank street, hence the names that's where I found out the Otergimele name, try and spice it up a bit.

as for the lovely scouse accent. I once tried that at a Princess Trust presentation at Goodison Park surrounded by a about a hundred scousers, was a fun evening

Oh, were you thinking of Bill Shakespeare? I was talking about his brother, Jim. Not as good with the quill, but the way he spoke...
