Having said that, I offered one of my bidders the item early at a set amount simply because I knew roughly what it'd go for and I didn't want to wait another 6 days. There's genuine and bogus sellers out there who do this, you can usually get a feel for which they are and use a payment method that covers you the most (eg. UK bank transfer).
