But it isn't, unless you could train all wild Red Squirrels to walk into a veterinarian surgery at the first signs of illness. No, even that would be too hopeful, most wild infected squirrels would succumb long before they could even make it to their local vet.
One very lucky survivor does not give any realistic hope for the remainder of the population's chances of recovering from this squirrel pox.
