Shipping to UK from EU

Does anyone know if there are any hidden costs when shipping from within the EU to UK?

The UK IS IN the EU...so...no, local VAT is paid, and thats that, AFAIK.

I thought so so just pay the VAT over here - that is good as some of the European places are cheaper - the wealth of possibilities have just opened!!!!
