you can actually get professional people to remove clamps from your car and as long as it doesn't damage the clamp it's perfectly legal

Somhow i cant see how hes going to take a clamp off though with a grinder without damaging it

Yeah, it is legal to remove your clamp yourself.
After all there is no fine for a clamp, just a removal fee. Do it yourself and you are free to go.
Although it is amazingly funny handing a clamp in with your mate as lost property to the local police station
