I bought an SSD in November - £100 for 512GB. Now, nothing fancy, just a basic SSD, however it got the job done.
But as games are now so redonk-sized, I was thinking of getting a 1TB drive to sit alongside this (and hopefully be the last one I have to buy for a bloody long time, I *hate* buying primary storage). Was thinking I'd be looking at £190-210, but for a semi decent one it's at least £250!
And looking back at 512GB, the one I bought is now £140. It's not Brexit as the pound hasn't fluctuated enough to warrant this.
I remember a few years ago a factory flooded absolutely destroyed HDD prices so much that..well, they never recovered. 2TB drives I bought in 2011 are more expensive now than they were then. Has something similar happened ? Or is it just a good ol' case of screw the consumer ? (conscrewmer! No wait..that'd be us doing the screwing..conscrewmee!)
