re: China won't take thre world's rubbish - new rules

China notified the World Trade Organization (WTO) on Tuesday that it would stop accepting shipments of rubbish such as waste plastic and paper as part of a campaign against "foreign garbage".
Maybe the rest of the world should stop accepting much of China's manufactured goods, as so much of it is "cheap foreign garbage".

But... lots of good comes from China too.

Having seen some of the volume of waste that's shipped around the world, it is a shocker! We all need to consume less, so if we cant get rid of our rubbish then we will stop buying naturally.

but there's the delay in the middle that's the problem....while the West buys from the East but cant send it back!

Exactly, and we could start stopping by stopping buying so much cheap, in both senses of the word, tat from China.

There is another aspect to this though. The West congratulates itself on reducing emissions and pollution - but that is partly because a lot of manufacturing that used to be done in the west has been exported to China.
