Is anyone else getting an unsecure connection on frontpage content ?

For the past few weeks/months when it comes to frontpage content > comment section, I've consistently been logged out, and have to log in. I've just realised it's because the page is unsecure. Has something changed between the frontpage and forums ? Or is it something on my end ?

Hexus updated everything to support HTTPS recently, unfortunately(?) they still support http as well so you can get to the http site. Maybe an old bookmark, or navigating directly to http://hexus.net/ rather than https://www.hexus.net/ in your case? Ideally the webserver would forward all http requests to https but I'm guessing this wasn't straight forward to do for their setup.

Jim aye looks like they haven't installed certs properly, or have a misconfiguration somewhere along the line. It's not the end of the world, a minor irritation having to login every time for a quick comment, just thought I'd bring it up. Even though there's nothing even remotely sensitive happening here, I'd still rather keep to https. Who am I kidding, it's because I'm too lazy to change the bookmark.

This is one of the tricky things about the forum going to HTTPS. That warning on the page is caused by an insecure image being loaded. specifically the trust rating image being used by jimbouk. Once that's fixed this page is fine. As for rerouting everything to HTTPS. we are working on it, but it's complex

It's not on here mate, it's on the content (portal) page, with the quick comment on the bottom. Also on the frontpage of the forums themselves. Although it's now showing it in this thread specifically, which could be because of the thing you say

All browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer). IE has a "only showing secure items, would you like to see all ?" and it says it's images which are the unsecure items. However, comparing the 2 situations side by side, I can't see any images different. Maybe it's a hidden image causing it ?

Ahahahahahaha. OK so I am quite obviously the most massive of mongs that has ever licked a window.

I started clicking around, and noticed it was on the front page now! And if I clicked on the forums it would also be there! But for some reason not the actual sub forums. And so I clicked on home and now it's secure on the front!

...Yeah, turns out my bookmark was for http. And all your links are relative, not absolute, so they stayed http. Until I clicked on a subforum, which is an absolute link. And I am an absolute spacker.
