If the great spirit of the Creator of the Universe and wotnot is looking down, scratching his/her/its head with hand/claw/tentacle or whatever, at what your creations chose to do with the gift of life, intelligence (in most cases) and our wonderful planet, can I just assure your Creatorship that, first, I had nothing to do with this, and second, I don't understand it either.

There are RGB bathroom taps too:

I can sort of see the one for the toilet, and no I'm not taking the piss.
I stayed in this rather srubbishrubbishrubbishrubbishy hotel a few years back which had a feature I'd never seen before but ever since have been covertting for ten years now. Lights off in the bedroom, hit bathroom lights, very dim sidelights come on at a low intensity. Lights on in bedroom, bathroom lights go blindingly bright. Having just the essential bit illuminated could be quite useful, as a guy.

No there aren't:
Nope, not even me.
As an RGB Champion, one rule is that one must avoid tackiness in one's RGB. The prime offender is one who leaves it on the default shop display Rainbow mode.
I won't even ask how these things are powered... but if we're lucky, it'll be a special Darwin Award winning design!
I know one individual who has had RGB strip-lighting in her bathroom, mainly around the shower box, for a good couple of years. She claims a previous owner/boyfriend did it and she hates it... but I don't believe her. She is a touch on the crazy side, though, and her bathroom is hideously tacky.

Not far off... It's more like "you must avoid having hen and ostrich and duck and emu and goose and gull and pheasant and turkey and quail eggs all together in the same egg recipe at the same time".
You can have any one of them and we will provide them all in the same box... but do pick just the one and, if you have to, pick from a range of different cooking methods too...
I can't say I'm too surprised, as I'd imagine the idea behind it is indicating the temperature without stepping in first (same with taps). I'd assume that they've probably been around for many years already.
I'm sure the novelty would wear off pretty quickly though, and it's not like it's too much trouble to just feel the temperature of the water for yourself anyway.
Probably doesn't want eggs around, so more like Eggsorcist.
