I quite like the libs 1st album to be honest... The 2nd one is a steaming pile of poo though... On a similar note I also like the Kings of Leon - and they have got to be one of the first bands in a while to put out a 2nd album that is (IMO at least) LOADS BETTER than the 1st... For me the 1st KoL album was OK but - as has been said about the libs - a bit samey... 2nd one "rocks" though...

Anyway - it's all down to personal taste... And who cares what the NME or anyone else thinks anyway - just use them as pointers to explore different bands / artists...

On a similar note - and even though I like the album - Bloc Party are getting more hype than they deserve IMO too...

If it wasn't for the fact that I expect them to get played to death on the radio / tv I would say the album grows on you... I like it now but I'll probably hate it before too long

Ahhh but just to throw a drunken spanner into the cognative works did Oasis make an album as better as Whats the Story Morning Glory....

    Nah.

That albums a classic and will be remember by future generations frankly. The lyrics and also the music are grade A. That is the neanderthol... I mean the Gallagher brothers at their best. Some of the other offerings have been okay to average, fingers crossed their new one hits the bullseye really

None of those are as good as What's the Story, the do not contain as many classics. Wonderwall, DOn't Look Back in Anger, She's Electric, Champagne Supernova, Some Might Say.

    Looooooooooser.

Exactly. It's really getting akin to record company approved rock - appropriately bad hairstyle (which actually required styling), stylish (rather than dirty) black clothing - it's all very "let's sell rock to hip trendy 20 somethings". Suckers of Satan's cock, every last one of them...

The Libertines are not very good in my opinion much better bands out there. .(whether they be old or new!)..

The only song I thought was okay and could listen to was 'What became of the likely lads'.. Which now listening to it doesn't sound that great.. Blimey there album was rubbish and as said ALL of their songs sound the same!!

Although I have to say I do like the Babyshambles track 'KiloMangiro..' or something like that .. okay its not amazing but its easy listening and cool...But Paul Doherty only has become known for being in the papers because of all the trouble hes caused and him being let out temporarily on bail!.. .
