    See, when modern technology fails and the Earth has been left to the roaches the C64 will live on.

    Mine was in a damp loft for around 20 years and fired up straight away, only had to replace fuse on disc drive lead which is a standard kettle lead and I had to reflow the solder on my tape to tape board

    That was pretty impressive! The conformal coating on the main PEC helped - the copper corrosion looked as if it was mainly on the earth plane (and copper is reasonably corrosion resistant)

    And full marks to the guy for trying in the first place.
