run at them, take out the biggest one with a rugby tackle, give em a good kick in the kidneys, then try and take on their mate, whilst yelling for help. then when they are both down, look after the old lady. stealing from old people is disgusting, and even if no-one else was doing anything, i'd have to intervene. why do u ask Russ?

if war is the answer, then we are asking the wrong question

    kind of like lemmings

if i came across that situations i'd hope i'd do my best to intervene, but until i came across it i'm not quite sure what my reaction would be.

Without doubt I would do my very best to stop them, but if one of them had a knife then your life is not worth no amount of money.

I have been threatened with knifes before on more than one occasion, the second time it happened could not have been better timing (for me) has when the bloke pulled out his Stanley knife a police car rolled around the corner about 5 feet away and the he legged it.

Things have changed a lot in recent years, more and more people think they need to carry a weapon whether it be a knife or any other kind of weapon, and since being threatened with a knife a am a lot more careful about which fights I will try and break up.

I'd do my best to beat the cr*p outta them, prolly going for the biggest one first, after it was over i'd do my best to help out by phoning the police etc.

difficult to sayuntil you're actually in a situation like this, but i'd like to think i'd do something

i'd probably run at them shouting a few threats to start with, hopefully scare them off (& avoid anything physical) lets face it, mugging an old lady is hardly the act of a brave man

failing that, its usually easy enough to spot the dominant character, he'll be the one who has his wits about him, the others will be turning to look at him for guidance before looking at you, he'll be the one that just turns to look at you straight away - its not always the biggest one either, which can be handy

as trash man says tho, u got to be careful of ppl with weapons these days, if anyones hand dives straight for their pocket, either jump all over them quickly or back off - nobodys handbag is worth my life
if it ain't broke...fix it till it is

Calmy walk up to them knife the bigest one inbetween the third and fourth rib then slit the throat of the 2nd one.

Ok that's what I would like to do because scum like that don't deserve to live!.

I real life I'd find something to hand and if not just charge to fookers regardless.
I used to work on the underground and had to use force once to break up a fight and on another occasion chase some guy who had just mugged a girl student, he was too fast for me but at least I tried.
My heart rate was through the roof and yes in both instances I was rubbishrubbishrubbishrubbish scared but it had to be done.

    ps This is an edit,
My dad was mugged about 3 years ago and badly hurt, not just physically but mentally by it. He was 70 at the time and it was by 4 guys that just jumped him from behind when he was coming home from his CIU club, when I heard I went ballistic and went out on the hunt but alas they were long gone so you might understand my hatred of such scum
