Howard, no offence mate but lighten up. From your posts the last month or so you appear to have a small woodland creature lodged up your backside that seems to be irritating you somewhat Had to be said!

we both know that's a lie. even microsoft do. text-mode installer with the wonderful f6-to-load-sata-drivers-from-floppy, for the first section of install. the installer is one of the main things to be overhauled for longhorn, the plan being that it ACTUALLY just goes in, installs, finishes, within 3 or 4 clicks.

microsoft can be credited with actual achievement towards their fluffy mission statement of "a computer on every desktop". no other company can take credit for helping to push the commodity consumer PC as microsoft. quite a step up from writing BASIC interpreters for spectrum-era kit!

How much bandwidth does this forum use over a month? I have a small forum, about 120 people registered, and over a month it can be up to 11gb a month.

I'm just trying to keep the owls out of Vaul's reach!

Seriously, I know it might sound like I was whining but I don't honestly see why people are annoyed with adverts that keep the site running
If there was a huge popup or flash file thing that appeared slap bang in the middle of the page with only a little "Close X" in the corner, that might get annoying however

Well I'm a very happy bunny now, previously to open Hexus forums at work I would have to wait on average 4 minutes, the ads messed it up I'm not sure if it's Websense that diodn't like it or just our naff deployment of NT4.

    Opens instantly now no fuss!!

Cheers dude... you've now mentally scarred me for life at the thought of everyone getting some "bitty" from Bill Gates while the Queens making him a Kinght commander of the whatever

If it wasn't for Microsoft where would be be today (tm). As long as they pay the bills, thats my licence fee for MCE2005 well spent indeed.

As for the dating links.... are they trying to tell us something folks
