I think sadly we didn't get enough of a volume of potential shooters to make it worth a seperate forum.
If you disagree, please PM me and if I got enough of a response I'd look again.
Own my own guns and shoot, (or used too)

Or produce my own and start comparing....
...that came out wrong.
We are on the last leg of getting our own cabinet installed. Turning out to be a PITA as I will absolutely not compromise on security and we want to put a lot of guns in it so it won't be small or cheap.
Just as a thought for those with an FAC, the cops do look down on pictures and so on being on social media type stuff. I was advised when I joined my local club that background checks, including farcebook, would begin the next day and to ensure there were no gun pictures or anything on there. It's not so bad on forums as it's not easy to track people down unless you have their IP.
As a result, it may be sensible to consider some kind of advice sticky on any gun forums to stop people getting themselves into trouble with their firearms occifer. It may also be sensible to make it a forum which can only be read as a logged in member so it's not as easily searched / accessed.
They still don't like it too much - when I Had my FEO inspection the other week he actually mentioned specifically not to post pictures etc of the cabinet and ideally not of the shotgun when at home, as they have had incidences of attempted burglary as a result from tracing IPs and generally figuring out location based on other social media posts. It's not that it would lead to a grant being revoked or you getting in trouble as such, but it does increase the risk of a problem. Kinda related note the firearms team do trawl your facebook and twitter etc as part of their background checks, which imo is a good thing.
You find that even on dedicated forums like pigeonwatch (which I highly reccomend as place to talk shooting ) that members don't post images unless it's in the for sale section, and even then its really links & embedded posts through to gunstar/guntrader etc.
On a related note I did finally make a purchase and got my SGC last week, been out 3 times this week already and put 300 catridges through it. It's so much fun, and very addictive Took 14 weeks for my local force to get my application sorted though, so its not quick.

Basically, don't be daft about it, showing people where you live, which walls the cabinet is installed on, what king of cabinet it is or your other security arrangements.
What did you get Spud?

Yeh, there's also the issue of geotagging in mobile phone pics.... never helpful.
I've taken a few pics at my local range but you always ask the person who's gun it is (or occasionally, cannon.... awesome pic of my missus aiming a black powder cannon. It's now on the shopping list) and the response is almost always "fine but don't post it online or share it".
EDIT: And if it makes any difference, I didn't see this thread and so didn't partake in the poll.
A shiny new Browning 525 Sporter, 30". I was very tempted by an old 686 that had barely been shot (looked brand new, and tight as a ducks whatsit) at the same price but the 525 just fit me like a glove and the wood is nice on this example (its a grade one model, but the wood is grade 2..has a nice grain on it), so i'm happy with my choice.
Sadly I won't have the opportunity to go out with it for a week or so now I had to stop myself on sunday, as I just kept burning through cartridges & clays and at aorund 35p a shot, it starts to add up
Just bows and arrows and airsoft.
I do have a passing curiosity of shooting guns, but I am also generally not in favour of widespread ownership in most countries.
