I'm so very pleased for you.

As peopele have said it's utterly ridiculous that it occured to you in the first place. We just have to hope that some of the scammers, fraudsters and drains-on-society who were wrongly claiming are tracked down now and made to repay.

Just for clarification, my question was generic, not in relation to your claim.

Also, while I certainly don't know the in's and out's of your circumstances, I've seen enough and yoy've told me enough to have a pretty good idea of what your answer to that would be, but it certainly isn't for me to say it in a thread.

All I would say is that it seems to me that to have denied your entitlement in the first place strikes me as either rank incompetence or, frankly, someone dancing to a predetermined tune .... like hitting "denied" claims. Or both.

It's also the sign of someone with the morals of an alleycat, and no heart. No consideration, for the implications of their decisions on people's lives.

I do support the theory of a system that reviews entitlements, and ensures taxpayer money is well-spent but however much I agree with that theory, the actual system that's been out in place is indefensible, heartless and, indeed, downright cruel.

And said system needs to be taken out back and shot.

On that, I wouldn't presume to know, and certainly wouldn't comment.

Just bear in mind, and not in relation to g8ina (whose finances are not for me to comment on) some forms of disability payments aren't means-tested, and I certainly know one or two people in receipt, because they're entitled, but who most certainly aren't reliant on them to pay bills. Though a lot are. One, for instance, who spent considerably in excess of 10x the payment g8ina just received ..... on one of several cruises they took ... that year.

Oh, that's like holding a bowl of sweets just out of range of a child. Cruel.

A friend of mine did the same. He has an LP12, a Quad valve pre-power combo, and a set of LS3-5A bookshelf monitors in the damned loft. Just sitting there. Never used, these days, or for years.

But he doesn't want to sell .... just in case. Bar-steward,

Not that I need them. It just .... hurts .... thinking of them just sitting there. Lonely. Unloved. Pining away.

    /sniff.

LOL It has a Syrinx PU-3B tonearm (https://www.vinylengine.com/library/syrinx/pu3.shtml) fitted but will need a new cartridge. It hasn't been used for ages so I would need to check that it is working OK before I would consider selling it. Shipment would also be an issue as I don't have the box but I could buy a box from ebay if necessary.

If you are interested I'll post some pictures up with my name and date.

Looking for around £1000 inc P&P
