    I didn't even know that the late Stan Lee had a "brand" but fair play, he did and it's lined up to make someone some dough! One of my colleagues put me right on that!

    thats what I thought....I know he did loads of cameo appearances in films and he must have made from that, but blimey!

    In fairness his face IS instantly recognisable to perhaps billions of people

    But Stan Lee also became a famous figure in his own right, known as the King of Cameos
    You mean, being so well known for creating so much of the Marvel comic universe didn't qualify as being famous? What?

    As for cameos, I wouldn't call him the king - That surely belongs to Alfred Hitchcock, who did it so well you'd often not even notice, unless you knew what you were looking for.

    he's the creator and artist behind Spiderman and many more super heroes.. he is was the power behind much of the awesomeness that became Marvel Comics , along with a chap called Jack Kirby, and was the Marvel lead artist and crative brain for ... dunno... 20+ years
