So, I forgot how to work probabilities and figured that the smart folks of Hexus might know the answers.
Suppose a roll has four equally possible outcomes, A, B, C, D, where A is the best outcome, and D is the worse.
The probability of landing three As out of three is therefore (0.25^3)*100 = 1.5625%. Very low.
My questions:
1. What are the probabilities of landing two As out of three in any order? (AAX, AXA, XAA, where X can be B, C or D).
2. What are the probabilities of landing two As out of three in any order excluding D.
3. What are the probabilities of landing two As and a B in any order.
(And no, it's not for a homework)
