He was Advisor to Michael Gove, Direcoted the Leave Campaign and seems to keep his face out of the lime light .....

He's top advisor to Boris now.... and there are plenty of haters out there.

Re: Dominic Cummings - your thoughts?

If he's an 'Advisor', how come he's allowed to sack a Minister's staff member without that Minister's knowledge.

Ironic really that we've got an unelected bureaucrat pulling the strings in Downing Street.

Is he still in contempt of Parliament?

It is nothing new - the Blair Government and Downing Street was full of unelected but appointed political advisors with excessive power.

This is true, but I'm not sure the Blair Government should be an example of what is an appropriate way for government to behave. After the Chilcot report, Blair and his co-conspirators should be in prison. The fact that the Labour Party still exists, let alone currently polling with a little over 20%, is shocking.

Cummings sums up Boris Johnson' party. A thug in Number 10. A perfect combination with the Prince of Darkness, Michael Gove, back stabber supreme.

    ....
You do know how No. 10 works, right?

Look up Jon Mendelsohn , Dwmuan McBride, Alastair Campbell, and many others. They, by the way. are all Labour government .... "fixers" from the Blair/Brown era, but I've picked them just to show both sides do it, and could as easily have picked Tory ones. It's a phenomenon going back at a minimum many decades, and is inherited from centuries of Kings and Queens, all of whom had "staff" to do the dirty work.

Classc example .... "Will nobody rid me of this turbulent priest?"

That was a death sentence just issued.

Gove and Mandelson are in opposition - how did he stab him in the back?
