"By an illness, one should understand even small or temporary disruptions to the normal state or normal activity of the body."

This, it said, includes the tiredness, nausea and headaches commonly associated with hangovers - and which the company, which was not named in the ruling, claimed its shots and powders could cure.

Given its impact on my physical and mental health over the last couple of years I put it to you that Brexit is similarly an illness.

I wonder, would the unapologetic hangover seek to deny the legitimacy of German court to rule against it / consider how it might side-step and ignore the ruling?

I used to have a line manager telling me that getting an injury from playing football was self-inflicted.

The question is where do we draw the line? For example a pregnant woman taking time off work due to morning sickness, isn't this self-inflicted? Personally I don't have a problem with this but it goes to show how the self-inflicted argument can get out of hand.
