As a kid I dreaded it.
Then did a stupid thing and never went for years and the result was countless hours in the chair with a mouthful of crowned teeth and a few sessions of toothache along the way.
Now I don't give it a thought as I've gone through the scared and pain barrier.
Would recommend if you a male with a phobia get a tasty female dentist.. I've had a couple and it's a lovely distraction!!!
I've always been fine with it 19, never had a filling or tooth problem, and I intend to keep it that way, I look after these babys, I ain't getting anymore am I????
lol - give it 10 years m8Originally posted by Bazzlad

i hate the dentist, he's a good bloke, but i am, a wimo, and scared of pain... lol
Ahh, yes, the dentist, that capitalistic pig of pain and strange smells.
I had braces, which, after the required time, were taken out and replaced with a little metal arch thingie glued to the back of my incisors on the lower arch. However, at my last appointment, almost 1.5 years ago, the dentist told me to make an appointment to have my wisdom teeth surgically removed, before they could potentially cause problems.
...right. I never went back. Which is why I still have this metal thingie behind my teeth.
i have a chippend tooth, really bizaare how it got there since I'v not put in contact with any hard objects or flying fists - or even fast approaching concrete slabs.
Its on one of the front teeth, but not a corner or something chipped off but a sort of sliver down the length of the tooth, yeah weird eh, anyway i go in tomorrow... should be fun!!

MY mum has always had a fear of going to the dentist so this was transferred to me as a little kid but I grew out of it as an adult.
Taught me to watch what I was saying/doing in front of the kids - too easy to instill the same fears in them as you already have!
my dentist is really good so i'm not scared at all...
in fact i quite enjoy it. bizaarly
