It was in keeping with the original series, I think B Piper was a good sidekick. The doctor was fantastic, the show was up tempo, great use of music.

I work on saturdays . My mum said she taped it, but our tape player make it all fuzzey and the sound stutters, but I'm sure I'll enjoy it all the same .

Is it me or is Dr Who acting a bit like that guy in 'Shameless', the brother in law who barks?

The effects certainly improved on the original

/me is also getting fed up with "The Daleks can now fly!" Didn't people ever see the Dalek episode with Sylvester McCoy?

TiG - I dont think high brow acting skills are mandatory to be a "who Girl" - look at any of the previous "assistants" in any of the other series.
(Sophie Aldred as Ace for example - I might have had a crush on her , but she was no great shakes as an actress )

Billy Piper was suprisingly good in the canterbury tales.

    In word - brilliant!

Loved the Autons, they used to be the baddies that scared me the most. I never used to be able to walk past a shop window when I was a kid.

Good Old MCE recorded it for me and I've watched it about 4 times now.

Chris was great as the Doctor and the funniest lines so far which made me choke on my coffee was

Rose - "SO your an Alien, but you sound like your from the North"
Dr Who - "yeah....and... plenty of planets have a north you know"

Cracking line, as was the scene in the posh cafe - It made me laugh

Apparently the last one with Chris will be a christmas special. I think that's quite annoying actually, because i THINK there's 10 episodes in the series. Therefore we only have another 9 to go, then we have to wait all the way to christmas!
