mine harks from a net cafe in NZ when I was doing some online gaming and needed a username for BF1942. A combo of the log-in code and with a nod to terminator IIRC. It was a while ago now but often what I use for gaming accounts even now.

I like cars, hoonigans drive fast. That's all there is to it really.
close enough to my IRL name, but not close enough to appear on google searches of IRL name.
annoying thing with semi-hiding on internet is that other people with same name show up instead of me. all was well until a 2 years ago when one of them decided to go and con old ladies.
all other usernames used on various sites are from when diablo came out, needed names for the classes, ended up doing full background stories for each and every character, then Diablo II came out so added some more.
My username is simple. My name is Phil. I am an idiot. The Phileh is meant to sound like Phil said by a drooling pervert. Or as it was said to me at school by the school pr0n baron. I also used to play CSS as Phileh (The Last Idiot). This was meant to be a joke from "The Last Samurai" and that my IQ test results had come through.
My PCs are named after the condition of my feet whilst building. The last machine was "breezy_feet" as I was not wearing socks.
Combination of first name, last name..............boring but it works.
An entirely & purely happy coincidence I'm afraid, however the number of people who get it wrong though and type jamboree is worrying. :)
The other online identity I have is a play on the Simpsons' Duff Man, mine is SudMan as it is after one of my favorite Alfa Romeo cars of all time, the Alfa Sud, and one I've owned a few times over the years.
Got to love happy coinciences like that. :)
I'd imagine it's usually US-based people getting it wrong then, who see the word used much more often for a yearly celebration their Scouts have I believe (although that might be where it originated anyway, as I'm pretty sure that was the context I first heard of the word, and haven't heard it used in any other context).
Classic Simpsons references are always good. :)
On such sites I use a randomizer
Mine's a Forces nickname related to my IRL name, I'm betting it's hard to guess which it is...
I've never been in the forces, just used to hang around with someone who could never call anyone by their own name, everyone had a nickname, mostly related to one they did one time on one particular day.
Yep had a Sprint also, as well as 2 33's, the later being the much rarer 4x4 version. All were a hoot but not a patch on favorite Sud which was a Green Clover Leaf with a late 33 1.7Lt engine in it. That thing looked great, sounded great and & had upgraded suspension, so handled great as well. Was shocked at how few there are left now and the price that they go for.
