This is true too. The advantage the Tories have is that since Nigel stepped down from his latest vehicle there is no other credible right wing party.
If you're anywhere in the centre or right wing then depending on where you live you have the choice of Labour, Lib Dem, Green & possibly one of SNP/Plaid. If one of them annoys you, you can switch to a party broadly in line with your views.
On the right you've got the tattered remains of UKIP and whatever the Brexit Company is called this week. Both have served their purpose and have no real presence. If you're a right wing voter and the tories annoy you you'll probably still hold your nose and vote for them anyway as there are no other options close to your viewpoint.
