    03:47 am. 24hr Support - Ugggh.

When I got my new job a few months back someone mumbled something about having to take my turn on 24 hr support, I shrugged and thought nothing of it.

Now the SMS alerts have stopped, the websites are back up, the world has been saved from nuclear war (I'm a hero btw) and I can finally go back to bed, knowing that any insomniac skater kids can still buy trainers at three am

I'm wishing I'd paid more attention when I read my contract.

Glad to see Hexus is here at all hours to help me through. Goodnight all.
They told me I was gullible ... and I believed them.

Well now it's got worse. It's Half eleven on a saturday night, I've had a glass of wine and one of our noisest client's site has gone down.

The worst part, it looks like they've buggered their DNS record, our web servers are hapilly serving the site, it's just the address no longer resolves to it.

So good news: it's not our fault.
Bad news: I can't fix it, and I'm going to get a text message from our monitoring software every half hour for the whole weekend, and I can't turn them off in case I miss a message about a different client. ARRRRGGGGHHHHH.

    Why me?
