As you may know, the forum moderators have been having a discussion internally about whether to allow posts about the invasion of Ukraine. Thanks for your patience - as you can tell from the delay it wasn't clear cut, but as ever we wanted to take the time and come to a decision that we can explain and act on consistently rather than potentially confusing with individual mod/staff viewpoints - and they do vary.
First we want to reiterate that we understand this is a difficult time and that forumites and people we know are affected by events, and even those that aren't directly affected wish to show their support for others - that's just the kind of brilliant community that you are.
It's with that community spirit in mind that the current collective decision is not to allow threads on the subject for the time being.
Similar discussions in the past have attracted unsavoury interest/misleading information and have been tricky to moderate - and the last thing we want is to have to take measures that restrict what people can post about a topic or worse, that prevent them from joining in with other discussions on the forum.
It goes without saying that even if we aren't posting about it, we know this community has Ukraine in their thoughts.
