Apart for the occasional game of Gnome Mahjongg and Xonotic i just can't get into computer games any more, i don't know why but i've just lost complete interest.
Anyone still spending a shed load of money on graphics cards and Triple-A titles?

I still pick up the occasional AAA game on offer - last game I got full price was BG3 but that's as much because I've been supporting Larian for years. Haven't seen anything else immediately on my radar (maybe homeworld 3 down the line, maybe Avowed), just waiting for TES 6 now

I have a top end computer but I rarely play games these days. I still buy them though! God knows why. I don't play any multiplayer apart from World of Warcraft when the new expansions come out, play it for like a month or two then don't bother.
Anytime I do fire up a game, I play it for like an hour and thats that. Maybe Company of Heroes 2/3 for a bit longer.
I think other things get in the way.

PC is just used for work, new graphics card not that long ago and played a bit of Core Keeper with friends but nothing recently. PS5 mostly just streams (though playing a bit of Divinity 2 with other half). I do spend a little bit of time on the Switch with Animal Crossing, maybe in 20 minute goes, just to relax and pass the time. Not even playing with my online buddies anymore, not sure what happened to the group but I'm just to tired in an evening to start gaming at half 8 and carry on for not than an hour so I've not been organising.
Definitely missing a simpler life at the moment! Obviously wouldn't go back but I do miss me time and being able to prioritise me having fun every so often!

I spent loads on my PC during covid as I was furloughed, now I'm out of the country most of the time so it sits there doing very little...

The toxic side of gaming is getting ridiculous.Gamer rage - New Jersey man is charged with attempted murder after flying to Florida overnight to attack his online video game rival with a hammer
I cant even imagine getting to the point where I'd wanna go smack someone with a hammer over a game...
Play Valorant for a bit then you might
Jon
If you have to take a flight to go hammer time on someone, in that flight, drive to and from the airport etc you'd calm down a bit surely...

Yeah I've heard about this swatting thing before, imagine in America if the guy that was being swatted was black, not saying that all police will shoot black guys on contact but there are certain areas and statistics that would make you wonder how these things could play out in certain circumstances...
Not trying to sound like victim blaming but you have to wonder how the gamers are reacting when the Police turn up, i agree with you about the potential problems with American Police but i'd be very surprised if the British swat team turned up with fire first and ask later.

The only acceptable response to UK Police door-kickers is to say, "Oh hello. I didn't expect visitors... would you like a cup of tea".
Anything else will get you shot.
I still play, but mostly Star Citizen and DCS at the minute. I have loads of other titles in the queue, although I don't really buy AAA until the prices are much lower, or it's free on Epic.
Lord know how long I'll have to wait for Star Wars Outlaws....

I've never been that dedicated to a title that i've bought in game extras, amazes me that people would spend large sums of money just for character skins.
I did it a couple of times for Elite Dangerous, as it also helped fund the game at the time and it does make my screenshots worthwhile.
Haven't done it since they went all hyper-grindy-Engineery though. Haven't played it since either, mainly as I'd have to start from scratch with all the silly new interfaces and stuff. Just not motivated to do that, until the gameplay gets more depth.
