    Anker Power bank recalls

    https://www.anker.com/a1642-a1647-a1652-recall

Anker is recalling various models of power banks due to concerns about a batch of batteries (3rd January to 17th September).

Anker 334 MagGo Battery (PowerCore 10K), Anker Power Bank, and Anker MagGo Power Bank may pose a fire risk due to a manufacturing defect. The exact model numbers for these are A1642, A1647, and A1652.

Apparently there were also a couple of recalls in June, which was of the PowerCore 5K (model A1112) and Soundcore Speaker (model A3102).

While I don't have any power banks myself, I thought it best to mention in case anyone here does.

(Credit to Club386 and HUKD for pointing it out.)

Nice to see a company being proactive over a suspicion/possibility, for once, rather than the typical approach of cover-up, denial, mitigation and spin that sees them getting dropped by Jayz and investigated by GamersNexus.

Powercore 10000 (non-mag) so seem to be safe, good to check though thanks!

Their website did amuse me, I assume the flames are not meant to describe fire risks:

Nor do I. Yet. But was just about to buy, and that's when I noticed this thread So thanks for the heads up, Output.

Hopefully, any dodgy ones, at least in mainstream retailers (probaby Amazon in my case) have cleared out dodgy ones by now.

Also, Jan to Sept is a pretty wide recall range. That must've cost them.
