well, what kind of answer are you after? long or short...?
short answer = fingers and toes are extremely sensitive parts of the body thus hurt more when impacted.
long answer =
why you bleed lots - gravity increase blood pressure in the body below the heart, reduces it above the heart. therefore - bust open your toe - blood spurts forth.
why it hurts more - see above - also due to higher nerve endings in the feet, thats why people are ticklish on their feet, the're very sensitive there.
result: hit feet, bleed lots and hurt, but you didn't need me to tell you that last part did you?
lie down and put your feet above your heart level - about where your nipples are, or where they should be...depending on who you are, how big you are and how old you are... I tried to make it PC but hey, I'm not PC...
