    Uh oh...

    http://www.asa.org.uk/asa/how_to_complain/

MPORTANT - JAMSTER: We are aware of viewer concern about the current frequency of Jamster advertising and the terrestrial channels have been informed. If you wish to complain about the frequency of Jamster ringtone advertisements, please do not complain to the ASA. You should contact the broadcaster direct. The frequency of any particular advertisement is not part of the ASA’s remit. Contact details for broadcasters can be found in Radio Times, or on the Ofcom web site: www.ofcom.org.uk. The ITV Duty Office can be contacted on: 0870 600 6766. For Cable or Satellite channels, contact the channel. The ASA can only consider complaints about the content of television advertisements, not the frequency of any particular advertisement.
Maybe the crazy frog paid them off?

Infuriating Ringtone Ad Draws Over 400 Complaints

Over 400 irritated viewers have complained over the latest advertisement for the Crazy Frog ringtone from mobile firm, Jamster, because of its regular, and infuriating, appearance in ad breaks.

The frog, which has previously landed Jamster in hot water over his exposed genitalia, is featured impersonating a motorbike and singing along to the Axel F theme from 80s detective film, Beverly Hills Cop.

While the latest spot has the frog's genitals concealed, Jamster is still unpopular with viewers, one of which is reported to have complained to the Advertising Standards Authority because the ad makes their "blood boil".

However, the ASA is powerless against the ad, which is deemed inoffensive and in line with the advertising code.

The Crazy Frog is believed to have generated around £10 million for Jamster to date, with the brand's power showing no signs of waning. The frog is now featured in ringtones, mobile phone wallpapers, videos and even a CD single due to be released on Monday.

A spokesperson for Jamster told today's Sun newspaper: "The vast majority love it. It will continue while people want it."

The ASA has been called upon to investigate other "annoying" advertisements recently, such as KFC's latest spot, which drew over 1,000 complaints from viewers offended by people singing with their mouths full. Some have speculated that the rise in complaints over relatively trivial offence is due to the ASA's new complaints procedure, which has made raising issues with the regulator easier than ever.

Last year saw religion topping the charts as the most antagonising theme in advertising, according to the ASA, which received most complaints for those campaigns featuring religious imagery over the course of the year.

In my opinion this "advertising code" needs to be changed!!

The new Axl F version is really annoying, makes me nod my head though. It seems to be on every single ad break on ITV now.

It seems to be on every channel, in every ad break. It makes me want to hurt things.

I hate Crazy frog...irritates the hell out of me... is the exact reason why ive pretty much stopped watching anything other than DVD's or BBC...

But dear god... please dont let them ruin the Grand Prix this weekend by wasting valuable time during the grand prix for them to show the Sh**y crazy frog etc adverts... id much rather watch the actual grand prix completely than watch the stupid ring tone adverts... anyone in their right mind wouldnt touch any of these companies...

I have to say it but I love that crazy frog, on the advert at least. First time I heard the moped one I laughed so much - it's so tacky. It's a shame they've had to black out his knob for mainstream TV. Never bought a ringtone in my life though, prefer to be discrete.

I hate the crazy frog as well, its utterly irritating, I probably wouldnt mind so much but the frequency seems to be unreal. I pity any fool who actually buys a ring tone, these days with phones playing mp3's and having IR and bluetooth you can simply use soundforge to chop up your favorite tunes and actually have a ringtone thats worth listening to and is unique.... until you end up sharing em round the office.

Lol, first day i ever saw the advert for that crazy frog mobile ringtone was just before leaving to catch the train to college. Then what do you know, im at the train station and some kid of like 15 in a school uniforms' phone starts ringing, with a crazy frog ringtone.

I stand there waiting for him to answer it, and then realise that instead of answering it, he has taken it out of his pocket and is holding it out infront of him, with a huge grin on his face, studing everyones expression... was like a minute before he answered the phone and i was ready to shove it down his throat =/

    Crazy frog => Bad example
