    Sisters give birth at 12, 14, 16

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/4572219.stm !!!

Okay, I'm not going to stereotype people who live on council estates as chavs, but when they name their children 'T-Jay', 'Amani' and 'Lita', it really does make you wonder.

    Best quote?

Jemma is quoted in the Sun as saying: "I only told my boyfriend David, who was 14 at the time, but I didn't want to have an abortion.
"He was my first love but now I'm gutted because he doesn't want to have anything to do with me or T-Jay."
Desperate Midwives starts on Monday, 23 May, 2005 at 2100 BST on BBC Three.

Dirty chavs. This country is going to the dogs, and its 99% because of the current youth generation.

And to be fair to David, would you have anything to do with a kid called T-Jay?

If the sex ed is so bad then why is it the other girls don't get pregnant? It's down to plain stupidity probably due to their poor upbrining

Welcome to Tony and Gordon's New Britain.
So that's about £4,430 per year each then. I don't think they'll be parking a new Beemer outside the front door at the taxpayer's expense. And if you think teenage pregnancy's a new thing, sorry, but there was the same moral panic in the '60s, '70s and '80s. Anyone remember the Tories' scare stories about girls getting preganant to jump council house waiting lists? Of course, they never produced any examples of this, but they used the idea to whip up a fair old hue and cry. Nice to see the Torygraph's got a sense of history; I think it does old campaign strategies and folk devils good to be taken out and given a dust once in a while, otherwise they feel neglected.

I think the situation's terribly sad, and I don't see much of a good future for the kids involved (both generations), but it's nothing new. Sorry, but it just isn't. At least the one who was due to sit her GCSEs appears to still be going to do so, and at least all three are still in school. Perhaps a better approach might be to take the view that if they receive support while in education, they'll be better able to look after themselves and their children due to at least having some basic qualifications.

Most people learn from their mistakes the first time... but no...seems this was a "if at first the broken condom line doesnt succeed, try try again..."
