    Almost a victim of Fraud

    Hey just thought i would post this since it almost happened to me. I argreed to sell my laptop online to some one in Nigeria for $860.00 then i get a check for $5000.00 i didnt deposit it because it looked funny (no water marks, paper looked cheap ) so i called the back and yup its a fake thought you guys might want to know..

    When i contacted him about why it was over the asking price, he said that it was his payment... ( the check came from from a third party ) yea it was just a little weird that i got a check for 5000.00 bucks but anyway i ways no harm no foul

    Cool

    A friend of mine did something similar and he got a bankers draft... oddly it was all legit! and hes well chuffed, though thats mainly as he got good exchange rates rather any extra $1000's

    I'd never post a laptop until I'd banked the cheque anyway.
