    The Tax man

    So Emergency taxed AGAIN

THe man needs to sort his shiznit out, but on the plus side, after a calm discussion with THE MAN he advised me that the £300 pound missing from my wallet this month and the past few will be Bamed back into julys slip which of course makes me happy.

Has anyone else had problems like this?

its your own fault for not providing your tax code, or your employers fault for not sending it on.

depends, if hes on PAYE then this shouldnt happen, if hes on other tax payment systems then its his/employers fault.

    Yeah but it does happen

if the P45 or something hasn't been processed quick enough on PAYE then you get emergency taxed

It's been done to me many times, considering there is a backlog of 6 weeks of post at EVERY tax office in the country, then i'm not surprised people get emergency taxed at the moment.

My previous employer left me on emergency tax for 18 months, despite continued complaints...I gave them P45s, P46s, etc etc. Ended up with a total tax rebate of around £3000. Happens a lot, and people always blame each other.
