    well, he's at it again...clearly something has to be said.
    he's mad, but he's definitely got ball. what makes a man do something of this magnitude one more time? he is incredible, have to respect him for what he's done, and if he makes it no.7...well, its something more than remarkable.

    Yep, mucho respect to Lance and all that he's achieved... ok, so you think it might be boring but the guy is an inspiration to nayone who has suffered or is suffereing with cancer.

    And, by all accounts, he's a thoroughly nice bloke too.

    I respect the guy, but I'm not much of a fan. He's just not exciting to watch IMO. The days when the Tour makes good viewing is when someone else goes off the front. What I'd really love to see is Ullrich on top form- if he could get a decent lead over Armstrong in the first week that would make for an exciting Tour. Armstrong has won six Tours but he hasn't won all that much else. He's not one of the greats like Anquetil, Merckx, or Hinault. As for being a nice guy- I dunno, he's very private.

    I suppose it is pretty amazing that he went from being the bull of a rider who took the '93 world championship to being a lean, relentless spinner. Technically he is a superb rider.
