I have this arguement with my mate ALL the time.

    See its spelt GRASS

which is gra - then a 'ss' sound not graaarrrsssee which is how he says it.

Other words? Glass - he says glarse, Bath becomes barth..

Stupid southerners who can't speak english..

and howard dont class midlanders as northern please! Midlands is the black hole of the UK, we dont want their type being classed as being northern (ive lvied there @ uni for 2 years, i know how much of a hole it is)

Grarse, bloody Grarse, need to learn how to say words all these southeners

What the hell is grarse and bar-th and s-cone and glarse

Its grass, bath, scone and glass nuff said.

where the heck does the ar sound come from.

Another thing that gets on me nerves is when people say they have enjoyed a good book but say it as "That was a good buck" a buck, what the heck is that, its book, two o's and a k in there no U's or C's :/

Well, on having this dicussion at university after a boozy night out, I came up with my now legendary quote:

There's no R in grass (i meant to say gla-r-ss, but forgot)

Northern here, but somehow managed to avoid ending up sounding like a thick rubbishrubbishrubbishrubbish, and say 'Grarse', 'Glarse', and 'Barth'...so, in conclusion, I just sound like a rubbishrubbishrubbishrubbish...

Did I manage to insult both North and South? Excellent.
