    Unhappy Sad Day!

Well today I sold the last of my starwars figures on ebay!

    See link….

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...gory=2475&rd=1

£225 well I need the money now I’m out on my own renting with mates, I don’t really mind just home they go to a good home, I sold the ships a month or two ago for £130 and sold the rare figure ‘yakface’ for £100 to a yank about 3 years ago, so not bad as I brought the whole lot for £70 about 5 years ago!

    awe dude.. nightmare..

    really feel for you...

still got mine sat in the loft in boxes... the G/F keeps on at me to get rid of them.. but I just dont have the heart at the moment...

just for future ref: did you have any of them valued before you sold them? to get their real value or did you just put them up with a reserve... did you have all the relevant weapons for each figure?

na i knew the price of them, and i thought they would sell between £200 - £300 i could have got a little more if i sold them one at a time but i needed to ship em out in one go, i know the prices quite well so take some pics of yours and mail me them and i can tell you what they are worth, some can be between £40 - £100 each but most lie between £2 - £10 - having the weapons is the key thing

My mum gave all my Star Wars toys away to some charity sale type thingy a few years back now, had around 35 figures and the big dog thing.

Might have been worth a few bob now :/

Are there any Cardboard, slot-together Death Stars anywhere.....with the sliding Trash Compactor on the lower floor?

    And the chute into it?

    I loved that

where can i find a reasonable price guide/estimate for things like star wars figures/
i have tons of that 80's stuff, yup - transformers (LOTS!), a couple of thundercats, ninja turltes (the old ones not the new ones just re-released, and all 4 of them in a set), He-man stuff...
i never threw it away and to think it could all fetch a tidy sum. how do i get it all valued? i don't fancy some creep saying he'll give me a fiver for the lot (a bit like the comic store guy in Simpsons...)

one of the best ways to work out roughly how much they are worth is by 'watching' other ebay auctions of the same item, or do a search for online vintage toy shops and look at there prices, but if you don't need the money hang on to em as the value only ever goes up... but as for selling starwars toys... i think there price will be at the highest (for a few years) when the new film comes out, it rekindles collectors interest and gets new people interested..

just had a little look on ebay... as you know you can't get a good idea of the price until the final whistle... but maybe a tidy Lion'o from the thundercats with weapons would fetch £20, turtles don't seem to be that highly priced, but again it comes down to what figs you have, how tidy they are.... and do they have the weapons...

Those Deathstars couldnt be bought for love nor money, even when they were new my mum couldnt get me one, they were always sold out, and the next year you could not buy them anymore.

I had the AT-AT, about 25 figures, snow speeder(i think that was its name), scoutwalker, the spaceship that looked like a balloon, speedobike, snow fortress, the bountyhunters spaceship, x-wing, y-wing.

I gave them to a friend who's parents were jehovahs witnesses, and he didnt have any toys, two weeks later i said to him where are the starwars toys i gave you?

He said i put them under the stairs, but now my dad has boarded it up and i cant get to them. (they moved out two years later!)

So the toys are probably still there!!

well, went for a little trip down memory lane last night...

didnt actually realise how much Star Wars stuff i've got!!!

over 100 figures with about 20 weapons.. cant remember which weapon goes with which figure tho'!!!

and got a Millenium Falcon with the box! box is a bit scabby as you can imagine (its been sat in the loft for the past 18 years!) X wing, Y Wing, Tie Fighter, Snow Speader (the gun tubes still light up and make the firing noise - hours of fun annoying the missus with it!) couple of Scout Walkers and an AT AT with a missing Leg dont know where that went..

the missus and I are still in discussion as to what she'll do for me if I get rid of them!
