Carls 3503 meters from his exchange and has the crappest SNR ratio I have ever seen on an ADSL connection but yet downloads @ between 300 Kb/s - 537 kb/s (depending on weather... I kid you not )

I to be honest dont think its to do with the weather as there really wasnt a pattern to the difference in speeds I was getting before I reduced the connection sync speed.

It may be theres a lot of noise on the line or even a fault, but hey I aint going to complain whilst I have a reliable connection although I know my SNR is still poor and fluctuates a lot from 16 to 6 at times.
