Winamp. I love it. Needs some time/getting used too if coming from Media Player, but once your hooked there is no going back.

winamp you just gotta love the way you can change its size and shape to suit oh and colour
iTunes defaults to ripping AAC. AAC is an ISO standard and is widely supported as the successor to MP3. Apple Loseless is a proprietary format, but how many people actually use it?becuase they're oh-so-much-more-evil than apple proprietary formats?
Personally, I started using iTunes because I bought an iPod. I've stuck with it because it's quite easy to script for and there's plenty of plug-ins and add-ons for it.
Used WinAmp before than but it seemed to get almost as bloated as the other players from version 3 onwards.
Windows Media Player 10 I use. I prefer it to Winamp. I don't use the media library features so it's easier and faster

I use Winamp, but I'm getting a bit annoyed with its buggy video playing
I also use VLC for Windows... I think I'm at 0.8.5 or something
New Sig on the Way...
Winamp here, the library is simplistic and easy to use.
Winamp or media player classic.
Itunes on my PC, Nicely organised and not hard on the eyes
Had I the heavens' embroidered cloths,
Enwrought with golden and silver light,
The blue and the dim and the dark cloths
Of night and light and the half-light,
I would spread the cloths under your feet:
But I, being poor, have only my dreams;
I have spread my dreams under your feet;
Tread softly, because you tread on my dreams.
winamp 5 ftw.
WMP sucks the big one, and iTunes installs a whole load of other quicktime crap which i really dont want.
I use WMP10 thats in Windows Media Centre for videoplayback using the Nvidia purevideo decoder, mp3 playback and nearly everything else really.
winamp all the way. wmp is just pure rubbish i dont understand what the hell it tries to do to my music but it wont do what i want. and when i installed i tunes it started converting my files to wma without telling me and put them in a new folder WITH NO NAME OR ARTIST OR TITLE so i now have a folder full of tunes i am slowly going through trying to place.
hate itunes
