    Going on Holiday soon ?

If so... you might be in luck

There's some very good news today for those Brits - and Germans - who are infuriated by the practice of "reserving" sun loungers by creeping out at 4am and leaving towels on them: the practice is not legally binding and any "British tourist would be quite within their legal rights to ignore the reservation implied by the towels if there is nobody there".

That is according to German lawyer Ralf Höcker, who enlightened the Guardian as to the delicious legal truth.
    Amen

No more getting in at 8am just to beat them too the loungers round the pool

Lol.. This is crazy, as like it's soo true, you go on Holiday and there are ALWAYS people who just HAVE to go down in the early hours and gain the SunBeds they want.

Like my Mum who basically only goes down because she knows that if she doesn't we won't get 5 beds together.. that's the only reason she does it. But luckily the Holiday I just came back from a week ago (GranCanaria).. within the Hotel there was only one way to the pool through these sliding doors, which the hotel cleverly locked at around 12-1am.. and didn't open them again until 8am! Which was brilliant as it meant all those early birds wanting to get up at the crack of dawn had no need to as if they did they would only be waiting hours for these doors to open!

Although saying this there was still a queue just before 8am of people who still wanted to gain either 'the best spot' or 'their' spot.. But it definately calmed everything down...slightly! (there were still people RUNNING for their spot, as the doors opened!)

I could never understand the logic behind it, okay they want to get a 'good spot' but surely they come on holiday to relax and 'enjoy' yourself (I sure do!).. and so by getting up at like 3am, it just seems ludicrous to me! How's fighting for beds and getting up at the crack of dawn relaxing and enjoyable!! lol.. Mad people!

    Nice Story though! Thanks!

when im on holiday i still haven gone to sleep at 3am

also we usually prefer to take the beds right at the back. stops you getting the 12 year old kid who has just learnt to do a somersault into the pool splashing you.
