Just been looking into getting one and found these lovely websites:
www.fool.co.uk
and
www.iii.co.uk
which seem to be useful.
The best one ive found so far is ING direct.
Anyone got any complaints with them or other suggestions?

depends on how you use your money. If you don't need to pay morgage and so...so.. , go can save your money for 4year in fixed hight interest account ... it is about 4%..
Cahoot is pretty good as is Northern Rock for savings accounts.
I'd suggest that if you've not got any ISA's that you put your £3000 allowance per year in that first before anything else as you won't pay tax on that.

Thank you guys Think im going to start with what ive got and put it into an ING savings account then when ive got enough go for a decent ISA.

you need 3k iirc for an ISA
naa you can build up as much as you like up to 3K a year for a mini cash isa.
Best savings option there is at present imo. I've got mine with Natwest due to its reasonable interest rate and no tie in period with instant access.

I've got an Egg savings account and ISA, and I have had no probs with them (Had it for years).
Dude - savings account? wtf? Where's this VTR and shuttle gonna come from? Or are you pimping yourself out to the highbrow of Fulham at some exagerated rate?
If Beala saw this...Savings. "Marriage." Offfff.
Spend a little more time on fool, and especially read the article on compound interest. Then choose your index-linked investment fund.
