I don't like the fact you need a Gmail account for it. I like to have the freedom to choose whichever email provider I want.

You do you can sign up a gmail account and leave it. But why youd want to use anything else ive got no idea, since gmail does rock something special.

Yup, google's free services are getting better and better, and they're still earning a mint off it! Don't complain, it's a free service, and g-mail is excellent. I've got a decent e-mail with them.

Hopefully more great services in the future!

Is anyone else struggling with the interface?

I want to speak to just one person, but I can't isolate window, when I bring them up after minimising them, I get the contact list and all the other chat windows stuck together which takes up half the screen!

Press tab to change between convos in a ultra-lightspeed manner. Also double clicking on the conversation title bar minimizes it in quite a cool way, lol
